UCLan Representative At The BBC Conference March 2011

I was part of a group that won work experience with the Preston Guild at the BBC Conference at UCLan. We had to come up with ideas to spread the Guild message and present it at the conference itself. I then worked at the Preston Guild for a week suggesting filming and social networking ideas to spread the interest of the Guild.

CBBC Laughter Lab May 2011

I entered a BBC talent competition with a video of myself getting pied in the face whilst answering questions. I was successful and won the opportunity to present a piece to camera to CBBC professionals at BBC Radio Lancashire in Blackburn.

Presenter on Preston FM (Monthly Show) 2010 – October 2011

Each month I and two others present a radio show called Trio Takeover. To be a legitimate presenter for the show I took part in an accredited 6 week training course and was offered a 6 month contract to present on the radio station.

Writer for Blog Preston April 2011 – August 2011

I have previously written articles for the Blog Preston site. So far I have covered the Easter egg rolling, ‘No to AV’ and the Preston North End charity match. I intend to do many more articles in the near future.

Junior Reporter at the Lancashire Evening Post 2008/2009

I did a total of 4 weeks with the Lancashire Evening Post, during this time I wrote my own articles. I also attended court proceedings with LEP journalists and handled press releases and phone interviews.
